Mr. Chao-Liang Chen,graduated fromthe
Taipei Teacher'sCollege and National School of Arts in Taiwan, was the concertmaster of
the Taipei Municipal Symphony Orchestra and first violin of the Taiwan Television Symphony
Orchestra. In 1971, he represented Taiwan, R.O.C. as the music ambassador in the World
Symphony Orchestra, which had 140 virtuosos from 64 countries around the world. The
orchestra was invited by the State Department of the US and performed in New York,
Washington, DC, and the Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Major newspapers including The
New York Times all gave the best praise to their great performances.
Mr. Chen's abundant experiences have given him the great confidence on the stage. His
skillful technique not only gratifies the audience, but also influences the young
performers in both professional and educational ways. Mr. Chen is currently retired and
living in New York. Besides teaching violin and orchestra, he also involves in many
charities around the community. Mr. Chen hopes to teach young people about the wonderful
world of music. |
